Please send this to LMC for evaluation. The syllabus states " the first objective is to let you learn to do film analysis in mise en scène, editing, movement, and sound with a particularly assigned film for each category." So the course is mainly about film analysis rather than language and culture study that ML emphasizes.

Hi. I think this course is more of a film studies course about Chinese culture, belief systems(Red Sorghum),historical events(The Last Emperor), etc.

Hi Lu. You are still in the system as the person in Chinese in charge of transfer credit approvals. It should be Paul, but it has not been updated. I have a question about this. The student took a course in English on "visualizing China." We can give 34XX credit to designate an English-language course, but that won't carry the humanities attribute. Another option is to give credit for CHIN 3400 or CHIN 3401. Please let me know what you recommend.
