HONR 290 is the Colloquium required for first-year students at the University of Delaware's Honors College. Classes function similarly to English courses with a topic chosen by the professor. This classes topic was rivers, and consisted of reading multiple texts related to rivers, writing papers based on those texts, and culminating into a 3000 word research paper on a river of the student's choice at the end of the semester. Weekley topics in the sylabus labled "NA" or "Conferances" or otherwise blank represent times in which class was dedicated to giving more time for students to write and edit their research paper.
