Since it's 2 credit hours, LMC 3403 wouldn't work. What about HUM 1XXX or FREE 1XXX?

2 credit course

I am seeking a Humanities credit for this course. The transfer equivilancy table informs me that my English Credit already counts as ENGL 1102 Credit.

For the department to review for ENGL 1101 or 1102 credit, please attach, upload and send back to R1 writing samples you completed for this course. If you are seeking other Humanities or LMC credit, then please respond letting us know of that.

The course schedule is included as a seperate .pdf as this is how it was presented to students by the professor. This course is a technical communications course taught to first-year mechanical engineers and taught by engineering faculty. Assignments are meant to recreate real-world tasks expected by enigneers utilizing software like microsoft word, excel, and powerpoint. As an example of what this means, it may be good to review the first summative assignment given to students within the course. Through a partership with Melissa & Doug, students were given real world QC data and then asked to evaluate the data within microsoft Excel using pivot tables & given QC targets, create a manufacturing plan for 2024 that follows company policy for manufacturers that fail QC targets, and finnaly write a technical report detailing what is necessary to the rest of your team. Generally, a large portion of the class focused on skills within Microsoft Office, data analysis, and technical presentation/report creation.
