I am currently in the process of switching my major to chemical engineering. During high school, I enrolled with a dual-credit program with USC Upstate, where I was able to take chemistry 111 and chemistry 112. These two chemistry courses are the prerequisites to taking organic chemistry at USC Upstate and are the equivalent of taking chem 1211 and 1212 here at Tech. However, because chem 112 at Upstate is not on the transfer equivalency chart, I only received credit for chem 1211. I have reviewed both the syllabus for chem 112 at Upstate and the syllabus for chem 1212 here at Tech and both classes cover the same content. If this issue could be reviewed, that would be much appreciated. Also, it should be noted that the instructor for the class at USC Upstate emailed me to say that he keeps the same syllabus year round and just updates the semester title which is why the documents say fall 24 instead of spring 24.
