It seems that the student has some misunderstanding concerning the prererequisites of GT MATH 3012. Texas A&M MATH 304 transfers as GT MATH 1553 (2 GT credits) +GT MATH 1XXX (1 GT credit). The prererequisites of GT MATH 3012 are (MATH 1552 OR MATH 15X2 OR MATH 1X52) AND (MATH 1522 OR MATH 1553 OR MATH 1554 OR MATH 1564 OR MATH 1X53). If the student has received the transfer credit of GT MATH 1553, it is impossible that not having the credits of GT MATH 1554 is blocking them to take GT MATH 3012.

I’ve taken Linear Algebra twice—once at Texas A&M University and once at the University of North Texas (UNT). I earned a high B at UNT and later completed the course with a high A at Texas A&M. These experiences have given me a solid foundation in the subject, and I’ve even applied concepts from Linear Algebra in higher-level coursework and projects. Both the Texas A&M and UNT syllabi closely align with Georgia Tech’s MATH 1554 curriculum, and Texas A&M and UNT even require students to read the same textbook: Linear Algebra and Its Applications by Pearson. Not having credit for MATH 1554 is currently blocking me from enrolling in courses like MATH 3012. I’d truly appreciate your consideration to provide me with this credit, as I’d love to move forward and focus on learning new material rather than repeating what I’ve already completed.
