The department recommends seeing your advisor to discuss if MATH 2X51 can fulfill the MATH 2550 requirement.

I understand that MATH 2210 (Calculus III, University of Utah) has been evaluated as MATH 2X51 (3 GT credits), and that MATH 2550 is a 2-credit course. However, since MATH 2X51 does not appear to fulfill the MATH 2550 requirement in my degree audit, I am concerned that I may be required to retake MATH 2550 at Georgia Tech, even though I have already completed equivalent content. I have not yet discussed this with my academic advisor, but if substitution is not permitted, I would be in a position where I need to retake material I’ve already mastered. In light of this situation, would it be more appropriate for MATH 2210 to be evaluated as MATH 2550? If so, I kindly request that MATH 2210 be re-evaluated for MATH 2550 credit, even if it results in fewer credits.

Univ Utah MATH 2210 currently transfers as GT MATH 2X51 (3 GT credits). It makes no sense to reduce the transfer credits to GT MATH 2550. The student should consult their academic advisor about whether the transfer credits of GT MATH 2X51 (3 GT credits) can be used to satisfy the degree requirement.

I mistakenly referred to it as MATH 2250 in my earlier notes, but I intended to request credit for MATH 2550 (Intro Multivariable Calculus).

I am requesting that MATH 2210 (Calculus III, University of Utah), currently evaluated as MATH 2X52, be reconsidered for MATH 2250 credit at Georgia Tech. The course covered key multivariable calculus topics including vectors in the plane and in 3-space, differential calculus in several variables, integration and its applications in several variables, vector fields and line, surface, and volume integrals, which align closely with the curriculum of MATH 2550.
