I am requesting a reevaluation of my transfer credit for MATH 2211 – Calculus of One Variable I, which I completed at Georgia State University in Spring 2024, prior to transferring to Georgia Tech. Currently, this course has been evaluated as MATH 1XXX (Mathematics Elective) on my record, which prevents me from registering for MATH 1552 since the system does not recognize that I have already completed the equivalent of MATH 1551. The course content of MATH 2211 (limits, continuity, differentiation, applications of derivatives, Mean Value Theorem, integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus) aligns closely with Georgia Tech’s MATH 1551. While I do not have access to the exact syllabus from the semester I took the course, I am attaching a sample syllabus from Georgia State University for this course, which reflects the standard curriculum and learning objectives. I kindly request that my GSU MATH 2211 credit be reevaluated and, if appropriate, updated to MATH 1551 instead of MATH 1XXX. This adjustment will allow me to continue my progression in calculus and register for MATH 1552 as planned. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
