2022-08-23 17:01:50 - Amandalynn Danielle Green <agreen87>
The current articulation stands.
2022-08-22 14:42:29 - Xu-Yan Chen <xc4>
We read the Supplemental File and the student's comments of 2022-07-18. We have already replied on 2022-07-21 and on 2022-07-22.

The student requests a reevaluation or meeting to provide additional explanation/information.
2022-07-22 18:54:28 - Xu-Yan Chen <xc4>
MATH 345 is a course completely different from MATH 231, 232 and 307. It cannot be combined with any combination of those three courses in transferring credit.
2022-07-22 18:49:28 - Xu-Yan Chen <xc4>
We recommend the following policy that can be applied to this student: MATH 231 (4 quarter credits), 232 (4 quarter credits) and 307 (4 quarter credits) at University of Oregon, combined as three course bundle, transfers as GT MATH 2106 (3 semester credits) +GT MATH 2603 (4 semester credits) + GT MATH 2XXX (1 semester credits). Policy.
2022-07-21 17:31:20 - Xu-Yan Chen <xc4>
The course is similar to GT MATH 2106, which is worth 3 semester credits. GT MATH does not have a similar course of 2 semester credits.

Dr. Chen, can you provide additional information to the student concerning the reasoning behind your decision. Also, please see the note from the student below. Thank you for your assistance.

**Adding this message to several relevant courses so that hopefully it is seen. I have taken a decent amount of math courses, including MATH 231 and 232 (Discrete Mathematics I and II), MATH 307 (Introduction to Proofs, which also covers set theory and some combinatorics), and MATH 345M (Data Science for Statistics which covers Binomial, Normal, Poisson distributions, etc. and combinatorics).

Uploaded slightly more up-to-date version of syllabus.
2022-07-13 11:43:48 - Crystal Canady Elster <celster3>
4 credits = 2 semester. Let us know if we can award credit or elective credit
