This can be CHEM 1XXX for 3 credits and count as a free elective. It CANNOT be used as a lab science elective because it is not four credits with lab.

Carrie, this is a 3 hour course and in 2015 was evaluated for NO credit. See students note regarding elective credit? Or will previous eval of no credit still stand? Just checking!

Will conisder transfer as CHEM 1310 or CHEM 1102 or CHEM 12X1? I think General Chemistry (CHEM 1310) is the same with CHEM 131 RIT. Thank you for your consideration and time!

CHMG131 Description This rigorous course is primarily for, but not limited to, engineering students. Topics include an introduction to some basic concepts in chemistry, stoichiometry, First Law of Thermodynamics, thermochemistry, electronic theory of composition and structure, and chemical bonding. The lecture is supported by workshop-style problem sessions. Offered in traditional and online format.
