Hello, I will keep MGT 3076 - Investments credits. Thank you for helping.

Please respond and send back to R1 whether you would like to keep MGT 3076 - Investments or receive instead ECON 4XXX credit which are the two options that you have after review from both Business and Economics.
2023-08-28 11:56:24 - Valerie Lynn Mastrangelo <vmastrange3>
The Scheller Finance Faculty already evaluated this course and awarded MGT 3076 (Investments) credit for it back in May 2023. I had the faculty who teach MGT 3062, MGT 3076, and MGT 3078 evaluate the course, and they all agreed that it was equivalent to MGT 3076. It's not an acceptable substitute for MGT 3078. Explanation: MGT 3078 is a combination of MGT 3062 (Financial Management) and MGT 3076 (Investments). It covers roughly 2/3 (10 weeks) of the same material as 3062 and 1/3 (5 weeks) of the same material as 3076.

I feel this course also matches the description for MGT 3078 - Finance & Investments. The topics mentioned in the description Topics include: time value of money, risk and return, capital budgeting, security analysis and portfolio management of stocks, bonds, and derivatives are quite similar. This course also satisfies one of the Financial Systems ISyE concentrations.
2023-08-21 11:30:05 - Ravij Harish Lade <rlade3>
I would like for this course to be re-evaluated to grant credits for ECON 4351 - International Financial Economics which is an ISyE Financial Systems Concentration course. ECON 333 broaches upon a variety of concepts, models, and theories employed in financial markets and investments both domestic and international. The course project gives the opportunity to apply these learnings to real-world financial data to determine an optimal portfolio of stocks and the risk-free assets.
