This course does not go far enough in CAD to count as ME 1670. What it lacks in CAD skills, however, is made up with other topics the we cover in other ME courses. So, there is no equivalency to an existing ME class, in my opinion. If ID is willing to give general 1000-level credit, that might be appropriate.

Greetings Dr. Ferri, This is a referral for a transfer credit equivalency review. The original assignment for this ECE student was assigned to Industrial Design by the Registrar's Office. I was wondering if instead this was not closest to ME 1670? I would be happy to "take back" the evaluation if this indeed not a good fit for Mechanical Engineering. Thank you

Sorry for any delay in response. In my review of the syllabus- this looks closer to ME 1670 Engineering Graphics & Design than in anything in Industrial Design. I might refer this back to whomever does the ME equivalencies. _IF_ they do not agree to any equivalency- I can review again and could see if it might justify a ID 1XXX credit.
