Dear Transfer Credit Evaluation Team, My name is Jack Luo, and I am writing to request a special evaluation of two courses I completed at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC): CSE 12 - Computer Systems and Assembly Language and CSE 13S - Computer Systems and C Programming, to satisfy the requirements for Georgia Tech’s CS 2110 - Computer Organization and Programming. CSE 12 covered topics such as Boolean logic, information representation, digital circuits, and assembly language programming using RISC-V, while introducing foundational concepts in computer organization, including the Von Neumann architecture and memory systems. CSE 13S built on this with a comprehensive focus on C programming, including pointers, dynamic memory management, and systems-level programming concepts like processes and debugging. Together, these courses align with the programming and computer architecture objectives of CS 2110. I have attached detailed syllabi for both courses for your review (CSE 12 in Course syllabus and CSE 13S in course document) and can provide additional documentation, including assignments or project descriptions, upon request. I kindly ask for your consideration of this evaluation to allow me to advance in my Computer Science coursework at Georgia Tech. Thank you for your time and support. Please let me know if you require any further information. Sincerely, Jack Luo hluo318@gatech.edu
