Course had two distinct portions: classroom and industry experience. Classroom portion follows a textbook and stays the same for each cohort, but the industry experience differs year by year. During the industry experience, I worked in a group with two others at John Deere Harvester Works under a Manufacturing Engineer. We completed three projects to improve operator lives: a rivet gun attachment to reduce wrist strain, a hand-held alignment tool to keep sensing rod paddles from shifting while torquing, and a CAD model of a safer knife storage system. Additionally, for the course's "Programming / Special Project" during our industry portion, I created an excel Macro to calculate the viability of a car drag racing based on its specs.
