I recently transferred SPEA KIN 242: Introduction to Kinesiology from the University of North Dakota, but it was applied toward a general elective that does not fulfill any of my degree requirements. I would like to request that this course be considered for credit substitution toward APPH 1040, 1050, or 1060 to satisfy Georgia Tech’s wellness requirement. The course covered the importance of physical activity, exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor behavior, and careers in health and fitness — topics that align with the learning objectives of the Applied Physiology (APPH) wellness courses. Although KIN 242 is a 3-credit course, I am requesting that it be counted as equivalent to the 2-credit APPH wellness requirement.
