Hi! The Physics 1 class (PHY 183) I took at my previous institution, Michigan State University, transferred directly to PHYS 2211 at GT. However, the class did not have a lab component so I had to take this class, PHY 1100 at a different school to satisfy the lab component of the lab science class requirement. Is it possible to just count the class towards the lab science credit if there's no equivalent class offered at GT? Thanks!

Hi Kelly, Courses with an associated lab will have credit awarded with the lab portion of the course, not the lecture. This is done to verify that both the lecture and the lab portions were completed. Credit can not be awarded if both the lab and lecture are not taken.

The course description should also be included in the syllabus but I couldn't find a course description on the Oakland University website for Winter 2023 so I used a description from the previous semester. Thank you!
