If the student is confident in the mastery of the course material, there are options of testing out GT MATH 1553 or GT MATH 1554, by taking either a Freshman Placement Mathematics Exam https://math.gatech.edu/undergraduate/faset-and-incoming-students or an Advanced Standing Exam https://math.gatech.edu/undergraduate/advanced-standing-exams

The course topics are similar to that of GT MATH 1554, but the course is much less rigorous than GT MATH 1554. Only 60% of the course grade is based on proctored assessments.
