We also evaluated MATH 1D of Foothill College using the syllabus of Spring 2024. We are not sure whether the course had any proctored assessments, since the syllabus did not specifically mention the exam proctoring. Even assuming that all exams were proctored, only 33.33% of the course grade was based proctored assessments. We recommend the policy that MATH 1D of Foothill is not awarded transfer credit. ET-NOGT. Policy.

We are not sure whether MATH 1C (Summer 2023) had any proctored assessments, since the syllabus of MATH 1C (Summer 2023) did not specifically mention the exam proctoring. Even assuming that all exams were proctored, only 24% of the course grade comes from proctored assessments.

Foothill and De Anza are sister colleges under the Foothill-De Anza Community College District (FHDA.edu). I completed Math 1A, 1B, and 1C at Foothill. However, since Math 1D was not offered at Foothill that semester, I took it at De Anza, as recommended by the school. The courses are part of the same pathway and have inter-transferable credits appearing on the same transcript on my end. I hope my combined credits from Math 1C at Foothill and Math 1D at De Anza will give me credit for Math 2551 just like they do for Foothill. I am not requesting credit for Math 2551 based solely on Math 1D but rather on combining Math 1C and 1D. This might be why they may not seem sufficiently rigorous on their own.

I still cannot locate the professor's contact information which the department has requested - "The syllabus does not contain the instructor's info and does not have a detailed explanation of "Method of Evaluation". Please provide the actual syllabus that the instructor posted to the class in Summer 2023 (if that is when the student took the course)."

Sorry for the confusion. Yes, the class was taken in the summer of 2023. On the Gatech transfer page, it says classes 1c and 1d both give credit for 2x52, but because Foothill classes were full, I took 1D from DeAnza as they recommended.
