One time exception here for CS 1331 credit.

Hello, I reached out to the CSE program director and he told me they don't have a document showing the coverage of event driven programming. I am becoming quite fearful now since I was intending to take CS 1332 since it is an important and required course for my degree program (Computer Engineering). I reviewed the CS 1331 class and saw that event driven programming (JavaFX) was only covered for a week in the curriculum. I am a second year student so taking CS 1331 again would set me back quite a lot and seems quite unfair since a lot of the rest of my classes require CS 1332 and due to my proficiency in completing the equivalent course already. All the concepts which are directly important for CS 1332 Data Structures and Algorithms and the other CS required classes were completed in my course and at a high proficiency. Is there any possibility I can receive this CS 1331 credit override so that I can enroll in CS 1332? I also was not able to enroll in the CS 1331 Advanced Standing as the deadline was last week when I received this update. I had assumed this course I had taken at Ohio State would give me credit. Are there any options available? I am only enrolled in a few classes since the rest require this prerequisite credit. Appreciate your help throughout this process.

Please upload/resubmit and return to R1 a response to this inquiry from the department - "Note for student: To potentially be considered for CS 1331 credit, can you show documentation and coverage of JavaFX, swing, or any form of event driven programming? "

The course syllabus show that the course covers all the topics in Georgia Tech's CS 1331 and actually covers more data structures (binary trees, stacks and queues) than Georgia Tech's course.
