Credit will be applied to your account once your official transcript has been received and processed.

In my view this course meets The Learning Outcomes for the Arts, Humanities & Ethics Core IMPACTS area: Students will effectively analyze and interpret the meaning, cultural significance, and ethical implications of literary/philosophical texts in English or other languages or of works in the visual/performing arts.

This course is not the exact equal of Georgia Tech's ID 2241 History of Art 1. The Georgia Tech course carries through the time period of the immediate post-Renaissance era. This Tidewater Community College course stops in the Medieval period. I'll also note that this transfer course is 10 weeks rather 15 weeks as would be at the Institute. In my review I _would_ think that this course can equal HUM 1XXX for 3 credit hours. I feel that it meets the requirements of humanities credit: Students will effectively analyze and interpret the meaning, cultural significance, and ethical implications of literary/philosophical texts or of works in the visual/performing arts. Rather than entering this as the equivalent I will leave that for the Registrar's Office to make a final decision.
