In the course I took, I learned both algorithmic concepts and how to write pseudocode, while studying the foundational concepts of discrete mathematics for computer science majors. This course was taken at Moraine Valley by students majoring in either computer science or electrical engineering. I am providing the textbook and the lecture slides—specifically Chapter 2, Section 3.1, and Sections 5.3–5.4—for your review. In class, I studied basic algorithms, including recursive algorithms. I also covered topics such as logic and proofs, set theory, and combinatorics. Based on the textbook and the materials covered during lectures, I respectfully request that you reconsider granting transfer credit for this course as equivalent to CS 2050. If this course still cannot be accepted as equivalent to CS 2050, I would sincerely appreciate it if you could let me know which specific content areas were missing that prevent its approval. Additionally, if algorithm analysis and time complexity are required topics for CS 2050 equivalency, I would like to mention that I studied these in the Data Structures course I completed at Moraine Valley. That course included instruction on algorithm analysis and time complexity, including Big‑O notation. I would be grateful if you could consider whether that coursework might fulfill the relevant requirement. Thank you very much for your time and review.
