Due to how Mines professors wrote the syllabus, PHGN 200's weekly schedule is separate, and I have attached a pdf to "Course Document" and "Lab Document" that contains the weekly schedule. The curriculum for PHGN 200 was crafted by professors at Colorado School of Mines with an online textbook supplied to students through OpenStax. The textbook's name is "University Physics Volume 2" by Samuel J. Ling (Truman State University), William Moebs (Formerly of Loyola Marymount University), Jeff Sanny (Loyola Marymount University). There are additional contributing authors. The publishing date is Oct 06, 2016 and the web version was last updated on Jul 08, 2025. Due to how Mines schedules labs for PHGN 200, our lab (called studio) and class lectures existed in the same Canvas page. This explains why the syllabus is the same for both. Mines awards 4 credit hours for PHGN 200 lecture, and that includes credit hours granted for the lab component as well. This is why the lab component has the same prefix, number, and zero credits. We have lecture on Mondays and Wednesdays and labs on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
